The journey of recovering is one thing
learning to live in recovery is everything
The royal understanding that I am great
A spotted past with a present clean slate
Different choices to make
Healthy decisions to celebrate
The serenity of sunshine I create
No room for doom to meditate
Living heavenly needs no rebate
Forgiveness is my resting place
Now
Someone else may whisper about the past
Then comes MY laugh, hoping they catch whiplash
As they turn to see what use to be
what use to abuse me
See the bruise me
Can’t accept the new me
With this brand of Serenity
As peaceful is my New Identity
Still laughing cause
they thought so little of me
Because they thought
their own frailty
was hidden from me…
Anybody that is recovering from anything…Celebrate You…Don’t let others just bring up the past of shame/addiction… Move to the overcoming, the bright future… Let them stay stuck… Keep it Moving… Move your mind and Conversation… Declare your new found lease on life along with your new identity…please

So perfect, so clear, empowering and motivating. This is so true of most of us who I have truly worked our way through. We have all the reasons to celebrate our Being today and also look back proudly where we come from.

This is highly inspirational. I used to hate myself but not anymore. Now l look back, and l feel good because l live beyond it. I don’t hate myself anymore because of my past. It has taught me many a lesson. Thanks for this post.
