Purposeful Tears w/audio

The truth of life
the seeds each and
everyone of us water
with tears of struggle
tears of inspiration
tears of pain
tears of joy…
Each silent tear drop
holds a meaning
serves a purpose
has a destiny,
Which allows the spirit to soar
To soar through a dream
To ride upon a dream
To invest in the dream of tomorrow
that starts with today
that started with yesterday,
when silent tears fell
Fell casually down our face
reaching its’ destination
watering the seeds of life
giving breath to a struggle
that evolved out of pain
making way to a testimony of inspiration
that built a heart of joy.
Never forget those tears
They are reminders
to remember the essence of ourselves
silently holding meaning
Let the tears flow….it’s DESTINY

      • Yes! Reciting a poem is different from writing a poem. There’s so much spontaneous sentiments when read it to others.🤗🥳

  2. Superbly delivered Tony! 👏🏼 I loved this part in your evolution of tears:
    ~Never forget those tears
    They are reminders
to remember the essence of ourselves~

The tears of heartache, joy, and sadness embody who we are during different emotional periods in our lives. Nevertheless, we shed tears that tell the story about how we feel at the moment they are destined to roll down our cheeks, ever so delicately, and with purpose! Bravo, my friend!!! 🙏🏼😥😊👏🏼💖

    • Dearest Kym, you are such a sweetheart😃 Yeah, my own emotions was prick, especially because men were taught not to cry (shed tears) and I like get out the way, for once these are tears of joy,😊
Nevertheless, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and yes our tears tell a story. again thank you so much my friend👏🏼❣️

      • You are so very welcome Tony and I can certainly appreciate men who are “HUMAN.” Even in the Bible, it said that Jesus wept. 😥

Too often society and our families tend to tell you how you should act and label you with a derogatory tag if you don’t conform to their standards. I applaud you for recognizing true, deep emotions, and the wide spectrum of why shedding tears on so many different levels is significant to our survival and our life’s story. Continue to speak your truth! 💖 Bravo my friend! 😍👏🏼🤜🏽🤛🏽🙏🏼🤩

  3. Tony!! I truly can’t describe to you how much I love this! I always get nervous to hear someone’s voice but the second I heard your voice, a big smile came across my face. You took me on a soothing adventure and I felt so comforted by your special words/voice. Not to mention this empowering poem, I mean it is seriously amazing. • ACE!!!! you get nervous. I dear poetess, I was nervous! I hope it didn’t sound like it. I get performance anxiety and start second guessing if I should even do it.
Nevertheless, after reading your comment and others, I am glad I did, especially since a big smile flash across your face. That really means the world to me.
Also you leave some amazing encouraging comments. 🥳😃 I am humbled🙏🏼you too are a gift🖤🤗

    • How absolutely wonderful to receive such a complement from a poetess of your status. 🙏🏼Especially one that has inspired me.🤗 I still have some perfecting to do. Yes! I was nervous.
Nevertheless, this poem was dear to my heart and has been instrumental in my own mental health to accept tears are apart of life. Not only women have that right, but I am no less of a man. Out with that old way of thinking that is a prison of repression.😊👏🏼
lol…I didn’t plan on writing such a long respond…haha O’well thanks again for reviewing, listening and sharing your thoughts with me.🙏🏼😊

      • I am honored to have inspired you. Thank you, Tony. Your kind nature and generous compliments are appreciated. 😊 There is always “perfecting” to do… always something to learn and improve upon. It keeps life interesting. 😆 I can see why this poem is so important to you. It is life-embracing and honoring. Tears have no gender bias, or at least they shouldn’t. We (society) are making strides to understand and embrace this human truth. An acceptance long overdue. We still have some work to do, but we are making progress. 🤞🏼 Have a wonderful week. Keep writing and sharing your voice! 💗

  4. Tears are the flow of emotions. They make us stronger and weaker, even if only momentarily. One should rely on them without the fear of being swept away. I like how you project tears as a natural process that should not be shunned. Yes, many have picked themselves up and moved on with the support of these tears. 🙂

  5. Serene. Tears are powerfully cleansing. I love what the Bible says, that God bottles our tears. No tear goes unnoticed or unrecognized by God which stems to reason He also sees and knows/understands the source/trigger of our tears. Weeping is only for a “night” in the “morning” comes joy (also biblically based). Another great piece!!!! Well done 👍🏽
